 Dr. Tam Spat is a distinguished and licensed Naturopathic Physician in Arizona, bringing over three decades of medical experience to his practice. Since beginning his medical career in 1986, Dr. Spat has made significant contributions in various hospital settings, initially serving as a Respiratory Therapist in adult, pediatric, and neonatal intensive care units, as well as in emergency rooms, trauma centers, burn units, and urgent care facilities.

Dr. Spat holds a B.S. in Respiratory Therapy with a Minor in Chemistry from Loma Linda University and earned his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona, one of the nation's premier accredited naturopathic medical schools. His extensive clinical training spans Natural Medicine, Conventional Medicine, and Traditional Chinese Medicine, with advanced acupuncture training at the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine & Acupuncture. This comprehensive education enables Dr. Spat to provide a holistic approach to healing, ensuring thorough and accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Born in Vietnam and having lived in central Florida and southern California, Dr. Spat's early life was enriched by diverse cultural experiences, traveling extensively through Latin America and the Middle East due to his parents' roles with the U.S. State Department. His career as a Respiratory Therapist was marked by numerous awards for exceptional performance.

In 1995, Dr. Spat was diagnosed with a brain tumor. After undergoing brain surgery, he chose to pursue naturopathic treatments over conventional radiation and chemotherapy, successfully overcoming his condition. This pivotal experience inspired him to return to college and become a Naturopathic Physician, dedicated to offering natural and integrative medical solutions.

Dr. Spat's unique combination of specialized medical training, cultural diversity, and personal health triumphs allows him to deliver exceptional, personalized care to each of his patients. He has served as a Physician Member on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association (AZNMA) and currently serves as a Physician Board Member for the Arizona Naturopathic Physician Medical Board.
